In addition to the news of the electric Mustang, Levine also sprinkled the beans on the future electric explorer.

Ford spent a lot of time talking about its electrified future this morning and finally claimed that by 2030, 40% of the cars it sells will be fully electric. This means that Ford needs to launch a large number of new EVs before then, and is looking for the electric Ford Bronco and Explorer to both be on the list. Mike Levine, Ford’s North American Product Communications Manager, tweeted about both. Levin posted a collage of photos from Ford’s presentation on Twitter, which included an image showing the outline of a 4-door Bronco car driving on an electric vehicle platform. The square shape is pretty obvious, but the rear tires make it more obvious.

In addition to Bronco schematics, Ford also includes schematics of trucks and vans. Ford has already released the F-150 Lightning and E-Transit, but you can expect to introduce more electric vehicles in this area. Levin responded to his own tweet, saying that “new full-size pickup truck EV architecture is being developed.” It sounds like the next-generation F-150 Lightning is already in development, which is not a real surprise.

In addition to the news of the electric Mustang, Levine also sprinkled the beans on the future electric explorer. He wrote on Twitter: “Yes, given that we plan to deliver 40% of our product line as fully electric vehicles by 2030, we will fully electrify the Explorer as you expect.” Today, Ford sells approximately 200,000 vehicles per year. Explorer, so providing an electric version will greatly promote the overall sales of electric vehicles.

In addition, the three-row crossover market is now all the rage, and no one else is selling the same models. In addition to Bronco schematics, Ford also includes schematics of trucks and vans.

Levine will eventually lead to the future electrification “icon” one day, but it does not specify which models or when it will be available.

Ford currently considers the following models as part of its “mark” series: Bronco, Bronco Sport, Mustang, Mustang Mach-E and Ford GT. We may exclude GT now, but the all-electric Mustang sports coupe (except for the gasoline version) and Bronco Sport may come out within ten years.
